Shakti Summit 2026 to Be Held in Pune on June 6; Focus on Defence, AI, Infra, Entrepreneurship

Pune: Hindu Economic Forum Pune District Chapter has announced the organization of Shakti Summit 2026, an entrepreneurship conference scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, on the occasion of Shivrajyabhishek Day.

The day-long conference will take place from 9 am to 6.30 pm at Pune International Centre in Pashan, Pune.

The announcement regarding Shakti Summit 2026 was made by Pune District Chapter President Gaurav Tripathi during a press conference.

Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol and Maharashtra Minister for Cultural Affairs and Information Technology Ashish Shelar will be present at the concluding session of the summit.

The inaugural session of Shakti Summit 2026 will be led by Swami Vigyananand, founder and chairman of the World Hindu Economic Forum, along with BJP leader Shweta Shalini, Maharashtra Institute of Transformation governing board member Deepak Karanjikar, and entrepreneur Dr. Manoj Pochat.

A major attraction of Shakti Summit 2026 will be the session on defence and space sectors, where discussions will focus on the geopolitical importance of rare earth elements, emerging defence technologies, and evolving warfare strategies.

The session will feature guidance from Vikram Dhoot, Harshvardhan Gune, Dr. Pratik Kishore, Prashant Jogalekar, Brigadier Veeresh Shrivastava, and former Godrej business head Surendra Vaidya.

Another key discussion during Shakti Summit 2026 will examine the role of MSMEs in defence and space sectors under the ‘Viksit Bharat’ mission. Participants in the session include Varun Khandare, Kiran Jadhav, Rawalnath Shende, Ajay Bhagwat, and Chetan Dharia.

The railway and infrastructure session at Shakti Summit 2026 will feature Dr. Hemant Sonawane, Sumit Garg, and Arun Kumar discussing opportunities in the sector.

A dedicated session on Artificial Intelligence and integrated technologies will include technology advisor to the DRDO chairman Manish Bhardwaj, Prashant Pansare, and Vikas Mahajan, who will share insights on digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence, and the changing landscape of the Internet of Things.

The economic significance of Hindu temples will also be discussed during Shakti Summit 2026. The session will feature author Shefali, Girish Kulkarni, and Prashant Sachan discussing opportunities related to religious tourism, culture, and employment generation.

A panel discussion on “Knowledge, Media and Narrative Power” will include Dr. Ashish Kulkarni, Captain Praveen Chaturvedi, Prasanna Joshi, and Shehzad Poonawalla.

Another discussion titled “AI in Education, Journalism and Governance” during Shakti Summit 2026 will feature Anurag Tiwari, Anupama Basrur, and GT, who will discuss the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence across education, journalism, and governance sectors.

In addition, separate panel discussions have been planned on urban development, industrial infrastructure, logistics, development corridors, and supply chain management.

The concluding session of Shakti Summit 2026 will be conducted in the presence of Murlidhar Mohol and Ashish Shelar.

The event will also host the “Shakti Startup Showcase,” providing startups from defence, civil technology, media technology, and deep-tech sectors an opportunity to present their projects.

Distinguished personalities from multiple sectors will be felicitated during the closing ceremony, while discussions held throughout the day and future directions will also be presented.

Speaking at the press conference, Gaurav Tripathi said that Shakti Summit 2026 is expected to create opportunities for direct partnerships, investments, startup networking, sector-specific collaborations, and the creation of long-term economic institutions.

He added that the Pune District Chapter aims to develop Shakti Summit 2026 into an annual flagship conference and establish a continuous platform for business collaborations, capital access, youth participation, and national and international networking.
